Foundation Specialists, Inc. [FS] a well known DESIGN & BUILD GENERAL CONTRACTOR, with specialty in Deep Foundations & Marine Works, became popular in the early ‘80s when Building the Structures and deep Foundations on Bored Piles of the LRT-1 Main Line, the Stations, the Bridges and the Connecting Line. The LRT-1 was the First LRT line in South East Asia, stretching 17 Km from Monumento (Caloocan City) to Baclaran {Paranaque City}, passing thru Manila, crossing the Pasig River over the bridge also designed & built by FS. The Connecting Line, also elevated and on Bored Piles stretches from the South Station in Baclaran to the Depot along Airport Road.
